MEDITATION

Resources for Meditation

Meditation Audios:

Here are some free meditation audios written and recorded by Emma available for anyone to use.

5-Minute Embodied Meditation:

Encouraging a moment to pause and restore.

“The Long Way Home” - A Sleep Story with Explanation (46:10)

A gentle, meditative and educational story adults, which can be used to create a sense of calm, whilst teaching a moral lesson. Contains an introduction and epilogue to enhance learning.

“The Long Way Home” - A Sleep Story - Story Only (41:31)

A gentle, meditative story for adults, designed to encourage sleep. We suggest you listen to the story at least once prior to using it as a sleeping aid, so that you are not too intrigued in the story itself. Emma’s soporific voice can then do its job.

Meditation Videos:

Just listen and watch these videos of waterfalls we recorded at various locations in Scotland.

Simply take a minute or two out of your day to think about nothing but the sound and movement of the water.

Whilst you are listening to the water, breathe slowly and steadily in and out. Try to make your breath last for about 5 or 6 seconds in and then the same out. This is the optimum timing for health and relaxation.

This process will calm your mind, lower your heart rate, and (if nothing else) will provide you with a short break from your hectic life.

Give yourself this little treat. And if you like it - do it again!

More Meditation Examples:

Just listen and watch these videos of small waterfalls we recorded at various locations in England, including: a meditation centre in Northamptonshire and on various walks in The Cotswolds and The Peak District.

Simply take a minute or two out of your day to think about nothing but the sound and movement of the water.

Whilst you are listening to the water, breathe slowly and steadily in and out.
